Who I am
I'm a generalist with a practical view of technology. I think analytically and like to get to the root of a problem. I connect technical and business interests. My work is about data, IT, governance, and building and running systems people can trust. I'm a good listener and a mediator, with a sense of humour.
Outside of work
Outside of work I'm mostly a curious cook, telly addict and drinker. In the kitchen it's all about Italian food: pasta, good olive oil and the patience to let a sauce become what it should be. I have opinions on politics, both in The Hague and in Washington, and I know I sometimes go on about it for too long. I still watch linear TV on the sofa: 2 voor twaalf, De Slimste Mens, Lubach and Vandaag Inside. That's my fixed night in.
When it comes to drinks I love a good beer, a vodka, and a cup of coffee or tea. And I'm unreasonably addicted to berehappen, the Dutch bar snacks. When we go out, I'd much rather end up in an old bruin café than a fancy restaurant.
My cats

Jinx is small, scared of everything, super sweet and not the brightest.
Snow
Snow is big, not scared of anything, deaf, and does his own thing.
